After completing the Foundation Portfolio I am able to identify that I have both strengths and weaknesses in the 3 sections of the foundation portfolio.
Research and planning
I felt this was one of my strongest areas in the sections of my portfolio. My strongest point was keeping my blog up to date, regulary updating it with what was done in lessons and planning that I had made for the horror opening. I also felt that another strong point was coming up with ideas in the planning section, as I was able to come up with a number of ideas for a horror opening.
Construction
I felt that there were both strengths and weakesses in this part of the portfolio. I feel that my strongest part in this section was editing it together to ensure continuety and adding in sound and the opening titles using LiveType. I felt that a weakness was using the cameras, because I was the main character in the opening I didn't get a chance to use the camera. Although I helped to decide what shots to use, I didn't use the camera and this is something that I may need to develop.
Evaluation
I felt that I carried out the evaluation well, as me and my group decided to answer two questions individually each, and then answer a final question together. I felt this was a strong point of my portfolio as through the evaluation I was able to identify the strongest and weakest parts in my Foundation Portfolio.
[ Overall I think that my strongest parts in my Foundation Portfolio were the research and planning and editing our footage together. I need to develop camera use skills in order to ensure that the Advanced Portfolio is completed sucessfully. ]
